About Us

My name's Ashley Wheeler and I live in Faucett, MO with my husband, Cortney, and kids (Payton & Coy.) Pony Express Ranch Horse was my spur of the moment dream for the horse community of Northwest Missouri.

I grew up in this area, but moved away for college at Missouri State University. From my involvement with the MSU Equestrian Team, I saw the immediate growth of the ranch horse industry, especially in Southwest Missouri. After college, I moved back home and started getting my horses ready for ranch horse events. Unfortunately, I quickly realized there was nothing like that in our area.

After years of hauling a few hours away (with small children) just to find a place to show, Pony Express Ranch Horse was created. If no one else was going to start a ranch show series, I would!  Cortney, is always along for the ride with my impulsive ideas and is the man behind the scenes loping down horses, wrangling kids, or shaking his head at the things I volunteer him for.

I strive to keep these shows fun and affordable. It's a laid-back environment and great atmosphere, whether you are a professional or just starting out. I think there is something for everyone and I hope you come out to show with us soon!
